BioRC Project

A project attempting to use carbon nanotube transistors to build analog electronic circuits that emulate the behaviour of synapses, neurons, and neural networks. Circuits have been designed and tested using SPICE simulation software. Single transistors made of nanotubes have been built and proven. Ongoing work aims to build extensive nanotube circuits. The research is lead by Prof. Alice Parker at the University of Southern California. See the homepage, an introductory slideshow (2008), and a more detailed introductory paper (2006).
